CRAFTYNESS!!

I really enjoy scrapbooking. If only we had the room for me to do it, life would be so much better for everyone.

Anyways... I'm making all of the Christmas presents we are sending out this year. It's been a little trying because of the time line and the number of gifts, however... I'm doing it, with Alex's help.

So I'm working on my mom's Christmas present right now. Just started today actually. I was inspired by Fancy Pants newest line: "The daily grind."

Cat over at Your Memories By Design also inspired me with one of her 'funky doodlers'.

Tim... who doesn't love Tim Holtz. He of course inspires me on a regular basis. Yesterday he posted a video on his blog about how to use masks. I received some in a RAK I won a few weeks back from Jennifer McGuire and I have no idea how to use them. Until now!

I am using an album I got from YMBD to make mom's album. It's chipboard/cardboard, so it's plain. I used some of Tim Holtz's crackle paint, and paint dabbers to get the painted effect you'll see on the page.

Then I laminated the paper I took the flower from and used it as a stencil. I put the newly created stencil on top of the paint and used my cat eye ink to shade the flower.

This is what I ended up wtih:

Once I added my favorite photo of Gabriella, added the flower, and I have a few more things I want to do to jazz it up, but JUST in case mom does read my blog, I don't want to spoil the surprise!

Enjoy!
