FIRE ANTS!

What horrible horrible creatures.

They have invaded my home, my patio, even... my CHILDREN. Yes, my children.

Poor little Emmlia was bitten five times, leaving welts the size of mosquito bites. Today, she was bitten on her hand... again, leaving welts.

I've done a little googling to see what I can do to get rid of the pesky little things... the top suggestion, boiling hot water. Who would have thought? The easiest thing in the world- not to mention the most affordable! Also, my husband brought home some "Top Choice" (aka: anthrax) from the exterminator who is employed by his company.

Here is a photo of the anthrax, kind of looks like cat litter, dontcha think?

Then... I had to sprinkle it where they like to 'roam.' Which just so happens to be EVERYWHERE!

In just the few minutes I stood out there, invading their home, as they have mine... I was bit a few times- it still stings, 20 minutes later. (See red spots on my feet.)

Ugh. I'll get you my 'pretty' and your little queen too!

Okay, now... "I've got ants in my pants" so I must go shower. I mean, I don't really have ants in my pants, I don't think... but I am itching all over now!!

OUCH!!! I hate fire ants. They seem to be really bad this year...it's either too much rain makes them active or too little rain makes them active too. Can't win. I live in Mansfield, TX.
