I've been working on many things over the last few days that I don't even know what I'm doing anymore!

Mailbox is nearly finished. I picked up some googly eyes to finish him off.

I also picked up some tuelle to make a tutu for the girls as a Christmas gift. They love dressing up!

I got eight little books at Target today- I'll turn those into photo books over the weekend.

So I have tons coming up!

This is what I'm currently working on, though a little late in the game! An advent calendar! I purchased it at JoAnn's for $20 and decided to spice it up. I have been through at least, three coats of paint before deciding to spray paint it!

Friday we got package one of four from Gramma.

It was chalk full of decorations including, a tree skirt, Parker's stocking, Christmas cookies, a frosty tin, place mats, and a few other things.







Saturday we went to visit Santa at Sundance Square in Fort Worth. We paid $5.00 and were able to take as many photos as we wanted!









Sunday we went to church. This week the choir sang Christmas songs! The gentleman sitting next to us walked with a cane, as soon as he sat down, Gabriella yelled, while pointing: "Look mom, a candy cane!" It was down hill from there!











After Church we drove around looking at Christmas lights! Every time Gabriella saw something she loved she said: "Oh momma, you'd better take a picture!"





Sunday, I also caught a movie (Nothing Like The Holidays) with a friend, and grabbed some lunch. The movie was alright, I laughed, and cried of course. I am finding it difficult to control my emotions as of late! Not being home for Christmas (again) must be getting to me... (again) sigh.





Any guesses as to where we had lunch!?

Blue's Clues Mailbox!

Over the weekend we purchased a metal mailbox at Walmart for $7.88 (Walmart's signature 88), and a can of spray paint.

We came home and told the girls that Santa was going to be coming over to help us get ready for Christmas. The girls went to bed at 8:00 and we didn't hear a peep from them all night!

I don't have a photo of the mailbox before the abuse, but I assure you, it looked like a normal mailbox! :)

Alex used this thingy to take away the 'shine'.



This way the paint would stick to the box.





Alex covered the lid with a plastic bag so he wouldn't get any paint on the "face."

I decided on an outdoor paint since the kids will be playing with it. Chances are, it will endure some abuse! Poor Mailbox!

I had some pink paint hanging around so I used that to paint the flag and smile on Mailbox.





After the darker of the purple paints cured, Alex covered the back end of the mailbox so he could paint the "face" with the lighter purple. Then I made a mask to paint the mouth.



All that's left are the eyes! I'm not sure if I want to take off the mouth and have that spray painted on as well... or if I should just leave it the way it is. Any suggestions? Also thought about making eyes out of felt... Alex suggested googlie eyes... Not sure I want to do that though. Again, suggestions welcome!

It's going to be a blue...

It's going to be a BLUES CLUES Christmas in our house!

I started shopping around for handy dandy notebooks and found them for $30+ (when they are sold for $5.00).

I guess it's the way of the world. Buy for $5.00 sell for $30.00

Oh well.

I'm not too bothered by it because I can make it just as well.

I also found a tutorial on Kaboose to make "Mailbox!" I think I'll head over to Home Depot, maybe even Hobby Lobby to see if I can find what I need to make mailbox for Christmas.

With a little paint, I think I could make side table drawer too.
