Grapefest.

At 3:33 am I checked the weather, which did not look so good. I also checked Grapevine's Grapefest website. The first thing I saw... RAIN OR SHINE. At that point I was determined to get there. We'd secured our sitter at least a week prior, and lord knows, I needed some time out since all three had been sick, and still are.

So... we went.

We got poured on.

But... we went!

Of course, after stocking up at Sam's Club. (We spent $400+ on groceries this week. Holy cow!)

First, Alex and I got our eye brows waxed! Yes, yes, that's right, WE BOTH GOT OUR BROWS WAXED!

We had a great time, and our 'fun money' was put to 'fun' uses!

We saw the "Duck" when we were walking to the festival. I'm not sure if they were driving it around for fun, or if it was for a reason!! haha.

We also saw the train, as we did last year. This year I had a fantastic camera to take photos with, so we snapped a few cliche shots!

We bought two bottles of wine, nothing fancy, or expensive.

We got each of the kids a 'pack' of Cookies In Bloom cookies. They have a great line of stuff. They are all hand made, hand painted. They can be delivered or mailed. They make cookies for EVERY occasion! Check out the website, it's an amazing place. And we bought Parker a new bib, it says "Daddy's little man." It's camouflage! ha.

I got some cigar boxes! Three of them to be exact! I can't wait to put them to good use! And they were $2.00 and $3.00 each.

We had lunch at Big Fish! Alex had a tough time deciding what he wanted...

It was great, the first time I'd ever had crab legs- like, actually cracked 'em... and ate 'em! Alex had a hard time believing that since we eat at Red Lobster for my birthday!

I was in shock when our plate came. I had fun playing with it!! haha.

I thought the claw looked as though it had 'teeth'. I'm sheltered... only a little!

Then we headed over to The Dump to check out some new living room furniture. We picked up some sunflowers on the side of the road. There are tons of them. I really should have taken a photo of the tens of thousands of 'em.

Of course I found everything but! I love this fun furniture. It gave me great ideas, and now I want to start collecting buttons!!

Well, that's about it. We had a great day, and now we're off to bed! Hope everyone survived the weather!

PS: MY BEST FRIEND IS ENGAGED! She called tonight to tell me, her boyfriend purposed on the beach. I'm so happy for her. AND she said I will be her wedding photographer! Ahhh!! I can't wait. I'm so happy for her!
