Alan Jackson - Where Were You 9/11 Tribute


I had graduated high school the same year and was on my way to work at the local community college. I was walking into work when my mom called and said that a plane hit the towers. I really didn't know what to say. I headed into the library where I was working and Paloma said, I think they are closing down school. So we all walked out to our cars and I headed to my mom's house. At that point all flights were grounded. I remember my mom was outside with a video camera pointed to the sky. The guy I was 'seeing' at the time came over to my house. I remember there was a lot of traffic, everyone was leaving work, school, etc. Life was just very quiet and still that day.
