It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

I went to WalMart recently, they were playing Christmas music. It isn't even Thanksgiving yet! It shouldn't be legal. They are playing commercials on TV geared toward Christmas already. I'm getting emails from people about starting a layaway for Christmas. Is this what Christmas has come down to, layaway?

Last time I checked, Christmas wasn't about the gifts. That's why we're not celebrating this year. Alex and I decided last year that we would celebrate the meaning every other year.

I made something called Apple Cherry Punch a few days ago. It was a
bit too sweet for me, so I think I will have edit the recipe to taste. But give it a try, see what you think.

4 cups of water.
4 cups unsweetened apple juice.
1 cup sugar.
1 envelope unsweetened cherry soft drink mix. (I used kool-aide.)
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon.
1/8 teaspook ground nutmeg.
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves.

In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil over
medium heat. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes. Yields 7 cups.

I picked up two new Christmas books. So we have five in total. We're going to read a new Christmas book each day in December. Half Price Books is offering four ways to save. They have given four coupons, 20% 30% 40% and 50% all to be used on different days. So we'll get four more Christmas books! I love Christmas, I just wish we could be closer to my family.

The the girls got their hair cut. Emmelia had her bangs chopped, and Gabriella lost about six inches.

My room is coming along. Im still trying to get everything organized to my satisfaction. Ill have photos when it all comes together.

I have yet to share the keychain I made Alex for his birthday. I used grungeboard, paint dabbers, glossy accents, perfect pearls and a clasp from ideaology.

I found this sketch in a blog I subscribed to, and decided to give it a whirl.

This is my version:

I picked up a new set of stamps. They are Martha Stewart... of course! But I absolutely love this stamp. It reminds me of The 12 Days of Christmas.

Last Sunday Emmelia wore her glasses (that came with free stickers) to the donut shoppe. Takes me back to the good ole days, of eating my lunch on the school bus, on the way to school!
