There is a somber aura around here today.
Since Thursday, I have had a lump (swollen lymph node) in my neck. I thought, maybe I slept wrong. So I waited 24 hours and then called Dr. Mom, who just so happens to work an the emergency room of a hospital. If anyone would know what to do... she would.
Side note: I just opened the girls curtains, and pulled the blinds up... I looked outside, and for a split second, I thought it was snowing! It was just the dust from the blinds. Guess it's time to wipe 'em down again. Anyways!
Dr. Mom told me to do a hot and cold compress, take some Tylenol, and if that doesn't work, go to the doctor. She had a few ideas of what could possibly be wrong but wanted to double check some of the things I had told her.
I couldn't sleep last night because I'm so worried about this lump. It doesn't hurt, it's just very tender. It is as if I pulled a muscle. (I also tried Bengay.) I finally got out of bed at six am, and I got on the internet to check out the health care providers who accept my insurance as I do not have a primary care physician.
The good news: I'm five foot five and a half. My blood pressure is fine. No temperature.
The bad news: I have mono. And I have more than one swollen lymph node.
Seriously. How the hell would I get mono? I swap spit with babies all day. Could they really have given me mono? Then again... the UPS guy and I have become quite friendly lately, you know... with all those packages being delivered. He's been delivering a package of his own! ;)
This too shall pass, right?
I am not showing any signs of mono, aside from pure exhaustion- which, I can't remember the last time I slept soundly through the night. Possibly four years ago? So my being tired is a standard.
Lets just hope, it's only mono.
I'm hoping to get something crafty accomplished tonight.

Feel better Jessica!!! Mono will wear you out and with 3 little ones - try to get as much rest as possible. I know I'm exhausted with one. Idk how I'd be with 3. But I'm sure its just mono and i wish you a quick recovery.
BTW thanks for the blog comment. I am also to blame for blog stalking and not leaving comments. but I've been following youts and im amazed at all the crafty stuff you do with stamps and paper - oi. I'm much better with yarn and fabric lol.
